8 Gifts On My Baby Shower Registry

Ahh. Registering. A process that is both exciting and stressful at the same time. My registry is finally complete – and not a moment too soon! My baby shower invites went out over the weekend.

I tried to register for a mix of handy items (diaper and nursing supplies), fun baby gear (games and toys), and decorative gifts (like prints for our nursery) in a wide range of prices. Here are a few of the items that I selected – please share your top registry items, too!

Click through the gallery to see a few of my registry selections.  Happy registering!

  • aden + anadis Swaddle Blankets 1 of 8
    aden + anadis Swaddle Blankets
I've heard from so many moms and dads that the aden + anadis swaddle blankets are the best on the market. They are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive for blankets - so they better be awesome!
    $47.40 for four blankets from
  • Baby Gate 2 of 8
    Baby Gate
Our new home is two stories, so I needed a way to keep the baby (and the puppies) off the stairs. I'm lovin' the fact that this baby gate is a walk-through version, so I can get through it with one hand.
$33.59 for the Regalo Easy Step Walk Thru Gate from
  • Crying is for Babies 3 of 8
    Crying is for Babies
I'll be hanging this letterpress print - as well as the matching one that reads "You're getting very sleepy" - up in our baby's nursery.
$35 for this adorable letterpress print from
  • Games to Play with Babies 4 of 8
    Games to Play with Babies
I have very little childcare experience, especially with babies, so I'm hoping this book gives me loads of ideas for baby games.
$10.17 for Games to Play with Babies from
  • JJ Cole Diaper Bag 5 of 8
    JJ Cole Diaper Bag
Some women want a really cute and girly diaper bag. I want a diaper bag that my husband will happily carry around. Hence, this unisex JJ Cole bag, which seems durable and sturdy, too.
$61.19 for JJ Cole Diaper Bag from
  • My Breast Friend 6 of 8
    My Breast Friend
Every momma I know says that the My Breast Friend is a lifesaver. I did read that it is sprayed with chemicals (to prevent it from catching on fire) so I plan to cover it in a blanket and not put my baby directly on it.
$34.88 for My Breast Friend from
  • sophie 7 of 8
If every baby in France is so nuts over this toy, I figure there must be something to it.
$17.78 for Sophie the Giraffe from
  • The Velveteen Rabbit 8 of 8
    The Velveteen Rabbit
This tear-jerker was my favorite as a child, so I can't wait to read it to my little one.
$7.99 for The Velveteen Rabbit from
