My Simple DIY Baby Shower

The day before my 37th week of pregnancy, I had the honor of being showered by friends and family.  Being that this is will be my second son in four years, I opted for a simple diaper shower and my mom planned and executed it perfectly.

All of the decorations and favors were homemade thanks to a little online inspiration.  Check out the party details after the jump.

This invite was not only fully customizable but it was also FREE via On To Baby. I love the simplicity and style.

My mom created this simple banner and added balloons for a more festive feel.

The white cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting was from a local bakery while the diaper cake was made by my crafty mother. I love how I don't have to totally disassemble it all at once because each diaper slides out individually.

My mom also make these favors that were as tasty as they are cute. The printable tag was part of the same printable collection as the invite, just fancied up a bit.

We now have all of the diapers (disposable and cloth), wipes, blankets, clothes. and gadgets that we’ll need for #2 and I could not be more thrilled.  Thanks everyone and special thanks to my amazing mother for hosting the shindig!
