I understand that there are a lot of potential benefits to eating and digesting your placenta, but sorry – this mom just CANNOT get into it! It’s just way too cannibalistic sounding and the more I think about it, the more I may just vomit on my keyboard.
But as I’ve said before – hey if it works for you – so be it. To each their own.
I recently stumbled across a video from Joel Stein over at Time.com. After his wife gave birth, they had hired a professional placenta chef to come in and encapsulate his wife’s placenta. While swallowing placenta capsules maybe slightly (a tiny wee bit) more digesting than the thought of uhmm actually frying the placenta up – I just couldn’t do it.
