Since us pregnant won’t be boozing it up today, here are a few mocktail or non-alcoholic drink recipes to allow you to join in on the festivities while being the designated driver as well!
A simple easy non-alcoholic version of an Irish Rose.
* 1 ounce of lemon juice
* 1 ounce of cherry juice
* 3 ounces of soda water
Mix the ingredients and pour over ice. Stir. Make it pretty with a cherry or a twist of lemon. Make the drink sweeter by using a lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite or 7-Up.
Perhaps the most famous Irish drink is the Irish coffee. Over 100 versions of this popular drink exist, including non-alcoholic Irish drink recipes.
* 6 ounces of strong coffee
* 1-3 tablespoon of sugar
* 2 ounces of whipping cream
Brew strong coffee and mix with sugar (add to taste). Slowly pour the whipping cream on top of the coffee so that the whipping cream gloats on top – without stirring.
Green Irish Eyes
This has my baby dancing just thinking about this drink.
* 1 ounce of non-alcoholic Creme De Menthe
* 2 ounces of cream
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake it up – Tom Cruise style (Cocktail!). Strain the drink into a glass – make it pretty with mint leaves or a cherry.
