Top 20 Boy Names of 2012

Top 20 Boy Names of 2012Baby names have always had a sweet spot for me. It’s one of the first decisions we make as parents and it is one of the first things people ask, “what did you name your baby?”

I personally like names that aren’t too popular. My kids have yet to have their names reach any top name list and mine has never been on one either (that I can recall). I like having a unique name — while I rarely ever find it on any of the name gifts, I think the uniqueness of my name gives me something special. Being on a popular list wouldn’t make or break our naming decision ultimately. I also like to check out the origin, meanings and like strong names.

Nameberry just released their top 100 list of boy names for 2012, so far and there are a lot of new names on this year’s list. Some names have risen from spot number 361 into the top 5 with even the number 1 on this years list rose from #304 last year.
