Egg free, Gluten free
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
- 1 cup good quality dark chocolate, chopped
- Finely grated zest of an orange
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread almonds in a single layer. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar. Bake for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, remove from oven and cool slightly.
Melt chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, stir until melted and smooth.
Stir in almonds, sugar and orange zest.
Place teaspoonfuls of mixture onto a clean sheet of baking paper, refrigerate for an hour until set, then store in an air-tight container.
