Eggs in a Frame
- 1 egg
- 1 piece of bread
- 1 butter/margarine
Cut out the center of a slice of bread with a biscuit or cookie cutter. Butter bread generously on both sides. In a frying pan, brown bread “frames” on both sides.
Crack the egg into the centre of the bread and cook slowly for a few minutes then cover the pan until the white starts to set.
Sprinkle lightly with salt. Lift out carefully and serve.
