In celebration of love and how grand it is, take a look at 15 of my favorite love quotes.

  • 1. If ever there is a tomorrow… 2 of 16

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together ... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart ... I'll always be with you."  ― A.A. Milne

This sweet quote embodies one of the things that I hope my husband and my babies will always remember. While my prayer is that there will never be such a tomorrow, should there ever be one I want them to always know that I am with them. No matter what, we will always be together.

  • 2. Love their mother 3 of 16

"The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." ― John Wooden

This is one of my most favorite quotes of all time. While I am thankful to be on the receiving end of my husband's love, I am thankful that our babies get a chance to see it. They are learning from us, and my hope is that one day they will spend their "forevers" with someone who loves them as much, if not more, than their daddy loves me.

  • 4. Smile 5 of 16

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." ― Dr. Seuss

As beautiful as love can be, it can also feel bittersweet. Even so, there are some memories that, despite our sadness that they have ended, (such as the baby years), are still worthy of a smile. To experience a precious moment in time or a beautiful and true love, no matter how long, is a gift.

(Full disclaimer I'm a crier, so I'd still cry. But at some point I'd probably smile, too.)

  • 5. Love is … 6 of 16

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails ..." ― 1 Corinthians 13:4-13

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." ― Lao Tzu

The love I had for my first-born gave me the courage to move the mountains in my life I never thought I would be able to move. My love for her made me brave. My love for her made me strong. Her love in turn did the same without her even knowing it. She gave me the gift of courage.

  • 9. My legacy 10 of 16

"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. One day I will leave this world. There will be little left of me. Sure, there will be blog posts sprinkled across the Internet, and hopefully there will be hearts that have been touched by my efforts to give back. But even if the "world" forgets who I am, I pray that the people who I have loved never do. I hope that I have loved them with as much fervor and as much heart so that the feeling never fades. In my absence, I hope that the memory of who I was and the way I loved them will be enough.

This quote is a reminder of how important friendship is when it comes to marriage. It's the glue. My husband and I are always striving to become "better friends."
