8 Things That Every Husband Can Learn From Channing Tatum

My husband is well aware of my love affair with Channing Tatum. The night when we can find a movie that involves both the action scenes my husband loves and the chiseled Channing shots that I am more fond of is a date night made in heaven.

There may have even be a slightly embarrassing incident involving a 39 week pregnant me squeezing into a packed theater on the opening night of Magic Mike.

But before you start thinking that I’m a horrible wife, let me assure you that I mostly like Channing because I maintain that he looks so much like my husband. (Mostly.) But more than that, I think Channing Tatum is just a cool guy for the same qualities that I am drawn to in my husband–the strong, silent type who would do anything for his woman.

And on that note, ladies, here’s my list of the top things that every husband can learn from Channing Tatum. Also, I would like to point out to my husband that all of those pictures and articles I had to look up on Channing tonight, honey, were research.

  • Nothing is sexier than a devoted man. 2 of 9

If you've ever read an interview by my man Channing, or happened to visit his website, Facebook page, or Twitter accounts, (Hypothetically, speaking, of course...) you will notice that he always, always finds a way to mention his lovely wife, Jenna. From supporting her career to making it clear that he's a one-woman man, his devotion to his wife is obvious. And honestly, there's nothing sexier than that.

  • We can forgive your past. 3 of 9

By now, we all know that Channing got his dubious start as a male stripper; and while that's not exactly the kind of first job story you might want to tell the kids, Channing looks to be the kind of guy who can overcome his somewhat shady past. Although in hindsight, immortalizing it forever with a movie that involved far too much black leather may have not been the best move...

  • Babies make us melt. 4 of 9

Honestly, there is nothing sweeter than a man holding his baby girl. Can we get a collective awwwww?

  • We love a man who can dance. 5 of 9

Honestly, we don't care if you can dance like Channing (really, how many men can?), but every girl wants her man to take her for a twirl on the dance floor--no matter how goofy his moves are.

  • We can tell when you’re not being authentic. 6 of 9

Of all the things that Channing is known for, we can be honest and admit that it's really not for his stellar acting skills. But the man tries, he really does. And women can appreciate the effort and the authenticity, not just smooth acting skills.

  • You have to want to make your woman happy. 7 of 9

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Channing revealed his #1 secret to a happy marriage. "Jenna's and my thing is checking in with each other all the time, like 'On a scale from one to 10, how much do you love me right now?'" he told the mag. "And you gotta be honest, and you've got to want an honest answer."

  • Tough + sensitive = sexy. 8 of 9

A lot of Channing's appeal in the roles that he plays, along with his personal life, is his mix of tough exterior with a sensitive interior. What woman can resist the strong man with a caring heart?

  • We like a man with passion. 9 of 9

Oh gosh, get your head out of the gutter. I'm not talking about that kind of passion. (Although, for the record, that can't hurt either...) I'm talking about the passion that makes you the happiest. Whether it's dancing, singing, teaching, or working outside, the passion you have for your hobbies is what makes you you. And we love the whole package. Er, um, you know what I mean...
