When I hear romantic tales from the olden days, a little piece of my heart flutters. The first love story that I ever heard was that of my mother and father. Papi rode the streets of Tenares (my mother’s town in the Dominican Republic) on his motorcycle. He turned onto my mother’s street. She sat on the porch, rocking on a rocking chair. His words, not mine.
Years later and there’s a wedding, three babies, and a divorce. But their love story is still very romantic. My father pursued my mother. There was no doubt that he wanted her.
