1 Stylish Mama | Elaine of Clothed MuchKayla Moncur
Welcome to my new series! Each month I’ll be highlighting a stylish mama. This month is Elaine from Clothed Much!
Elaine is one of the most stylish mothers I know. She knows what flatters her, what fits her taste, and how to style difficult pieces. Her blog, Clothed Much, has always been an inspiration to me, but it became even more so during her pregnancy with her son, Grey. Then she won me over even more while stylishly navigating that tricky mushy post-partum period. Now, six months after the birth of her son, Elaine manages to make dressing for nursing and post-partum look like cake!

Mom Uniform 2 of 7
What does your "mom uniform" look like?
Usually a variation of this outfit. Loose shirt, roomy pants, and flats. This post-partumness isn't going anywhere!! And I think I've retired the skinny jeans...for now.
Sartorial Security 3 of 7
Do you have a sartorial security blanket (ie something you instinctively reach for at least once a week)?Definitely my gold flats. They go with everything and they're SO comfortable.
Getting Fancy 4 of 7
Quick! You have 5 minutes to get ready for a hot date with your husband. What's your quick fix for dressing yourself up?
Ahh!! Ummm, cover up for my acne scars and any redness and then I'd put my hair in a high bun! I'd probably grab my high-low green dress (because no baby = no nursing!), nude heels, a light jacket or blazer, and some bright lipstick.
Child Free Shopping 5 of 7
If you had a child-free afternoon to shop, where would you go?
All the thrift stores!!!! I haven't gone in a while so I'd probably take the whole day off just for that special occasion.
The Hardest Part 6 of 7
What's the hardest part about dressing as a mother?
Dressing for nursing FORSURE. It rules out all my dresses. And skirts. Constantly untucking and tucking? No, thank you!!
