I adore a sparkly winter wedding, but as a former winter bride (8 years ago next weekend!) I know how difficult it can be to shop for winter wedding dresses! I ended up with a short-sleeved dress and, surprisingly, don’t remember feeling cold at all, despite the fact that I had an outdoor reception. In December. (What was I thinking?) Sometimes just a little extra fabric can make a difference!
A lot of dresses tend to leave a fair amount of skin up top exposed to the elements. Strapless and backless gowns are perfectly lovely for a May wedding but when it’s 40 degrees (or less!) outside, those gorgeous options become slightly less appealing.
Don’t despair! It is totally possible to keep from getting frostbite on your wedding day while still looking drop-dead gorgeous. Take a look at these 13 fabulous winter wedding dresses that will help you stay just a little warmer without sacrificing your sense of style.

Jenny Packham Lucy Gown 2 of 15
Kate Middleton is a fan of Jenny Packham's designs, so it's no surprise that her bridal collection feels so elegant and demure in the best possible way. She often includes sleeves in her designs, but this simple, embroidered option is my favorite.
