I’m a total sucker for basic black-and-white styles. It’s such a chic, classic combination and can be done in so many different ways. Plus, when you pair these two neutrals together, you can throw in any other color combination and it works every time.
Let me show you a few of my favorite black-and-white style combinations, and how you can wear black and white all day, every day too. I’m only kidding. Kind of.
1. Pattern Mixing
It’s one of my favorite combinations, and it’s easy to do subtly or boldly. Here my blouse has a subtle pattern mix, but I also love to pair a striped skirt with a polka-dot top for a really bold pattern mix.

2. Half-Solid, Half-Patterned
There are so many fun black-and-white patterned bottoms out there in both skirts and pants. Let them do the talking and pair them with a basic black top. And if you’re feeling adventurous, throw in a little metallic with your accessories for the perfect finishing touch. Then try the opposite — patterned on top and solid on the bottom!

3. All White with Pops of Black
During the summer, I love wearing an all-white outfit. Throw on some black shoes, sunglasses, and a bag for a super chic (but still summery) black and white outfit.

4. All Black with Pops of White
During the winter, try the opposite. Go head-to-toe black and then add white, either with your accessories or in a little section of your outfit.

5. Fifty Shades of Gray
Try different variations of the classic hues — charcoal, light gray, or any other shade in the middle. It gives a softer look to the chic contrasting colors.

6. Small Pops of Color
Like I mentioned at the beginning, black and white is the perfect palette for adding other colors. My favorite is adding other neutrals (like brown or metallic), but a pop of a bold hue with a scarf, bag, or shoe can also be fabulous.
