8 Peace Sign-Inspired Styles That Won't Make You Look Tacky!

A few years back when I first met my husband, I fell instantly in love with his tattoos. He only had two — one of which was a peace sign on his forearm, the other a huge heart on his other arm. It spoke volumes about him as a person, and honestly, he lives and breathes what his tattoos symbolize.

So, in honor of International Peace Day this Saturday, September 21, and our hopes as both a couple and parents to live and lead a peaceful life in a peaceful world, I thought it would be great to bring you some peace sign-inspired clothes! I know that peace sign clothing usually comes with a stigma: that it’s just plain tacky. Flashes of tie-dye and sparkles are probably spinning through your head, but there are actually some cute and chic choices when it comes to rocking a peace sign, or any sign of peace for that matter. I’m happy to show you!

Here are 8 peace sign-inspired styles that won’t make you look tacky!

  • Cut-offs 4 of 9

Cut-offs and peace signs go so well together. And if it's chilly in your neck of the woods on Peace Day, pair your shorts with some tights and voila — a funky outfit that's sure to turn heads.

Get them at Ruby Chic Originals, $35

  • Peace beanie 7 of 9

This peace beanie is a distinct reminder of the '90s hip hop movement for me. Pair this beanie with just about anything and you'll be sure to carry a cool, easy-breezy vibe. Also, this looks ridiculously warm, so win-win.

    Get it at Asos, $25.31

  • Oversized cuff shirt 8 of 9

This cuff shirt looks beyond comfy. With fingers doing the talking instead of the normal peace sign, this shirt is instantly universal.

  • The Beatles peace sign shirt 9 of 9

This t-shirt has a touching, fun, and memorable spin on the classic peace sign. And bonus: since this shirt goes past your butt, it would look amazing with a pair of leggings.
