Dip Dye Minnie Ears

Supplies

  • White linen
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Plastic container
  • Turquoise tie dye mix
  • Plastic gloves
  • Ears (adult or child size)
  • Seam ripper
  • White ribbon
  • Hot glue gun
  • White tulle
  • Gem

Directions

  1. For the mommy ears, cut the linen into circle shapes using this template. For the kid ears, trace them directly onto the linen, then cut. Next, fold in half and dip it into the plastic container with the dye and water mixed together. (Be sure to wear gloves and protect your surfaces.) To create the dip dye look, start by dipping the most amount of fabric you want dyed, then do less, and less. Once you have the pattern you want, let it dry overnight.
  2. Remove the ears by cutting and/or seam ripping. Wrap the headband in white ribbon, securing to the ends with hot glue. Then wrap the linen around the ears and reattach to the headband, both with glue.
  3. Make a bow with the tulle and attach to the middle with glue.
