Let’s face it: Babies don’t give two dirty diapers about what outfit they’ll wear tomorrow. But it sure is fun to stock their drawers with cute clothes anyway! After my baby girl Lucy was born, and gifted generously with one ruffly dress after another, I realized I needed to get smart with the shopping decisions I made for her baby wardrobe. It’s a little silly to spend so much money on a kiddo who’s just going to spit up, poop, or spill something on her clothes, especially when she may outgrow an outfit during its first time in the hamper. But I found it’s a bit easier to justify splurging on some cute basics for my little girl, as long as I know each item can be worn in the future by a little sister or brother.
This Fall, as I shop for little Lucy Jo, I’ll be selecting just a few separates that all coordinate with each other, have classic style, and can be loved all over again by the next kiddo. Here are ten of my favorites that made the cut!
