Stunning Vintage Jewelry on a Budget

Jewelry is the simplest way to pull together an outfit and complete your “vibe” for the day — accentuating your personality.

A delicate, understated necklace can add sophistication and class.

A colorful statement necklace can add a cheerful boldness.

A whimsical charm conveys a certain amount of off-beat quirkiness.

But there’s some jewelry out there that not only tells your story, but the stories of women from generations past: vintage jewelry.

One of my favorite shops for vintage finds is Mae and Jean Vintage, and they have a gorgeous collection of jewelry, much of which dates back to the early-to-mid 1900s. And most of it costs under $100:

  • Antique Art Deco Cameo Necklace 1 of 11

    A gorgeous antique cameo necklace — featuring a lady's silhouette that's carved from shell — dating back to the 1930s - 1940s.

  • Vintage Blue Beaded Necklace 2 of 11

A mid-century piece of statement jewelry, circa 1950s/1960s.

    Buy from, $16

  • Antique Silver-Plated Mesh Purse/Ring 3 of 11

This is a crazy cool conversation piece of jewelry from the early 1900s. It's a chain mesh bag that hangs down from a ring — like a miniature version of a wristlet that's worn on your finger, not your wrist. The shop owners claim it's most likely from the Edwardian Period.

  • Antique Dainty Monogrammed Locket Necklace 4 of 11

This locket — monogrammed with what looks like "NK" — dates back to the 1930s/1940s.

  • 1950s Mid Century Emerald Green Costume Jewelry 5 of 11

    A bracelet/earring set, circa 1950s.

  • Antique Sterling Silver Onyx Black Glass Ring 7 of 11

    Circa 1940.

    Buy from, $58

  • Genuine 1920s Beaded Cloche Hate and Purse 8 of 11

It's French flapper! (Circa 1920 France.)

The set includes a skull cap and handbag.

    Buy from, $125

  • Vintage 14K Yellow and Rose Gold Jade Ring 9 of 11

One of the pricier rings in the shop, this jade ring is made with 14k yellow and rose gold. They're not sure the exact time period, but it's most likely from the mid-century era (or possibly older).

    Buy from, $210

  • Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Channel Ring 10 of 11

A delicate stacking ring, circa 1930s.

    Buy from, $22
