The 10 Best Fashion Trends in 2013

Trends seem to come and go quicker than you can keep up with, especially when it comes to fashion. Which is great for the ones you wish would just disappear already, but this year we had some keepers that I hope stick around for 2014 and beyond. Check out my favorite fashion trends from 2013 below:

  • Cut-out Boots 1 of 9

I'll be sad when booties aren't in style anymore. I love how diverse they come and the cut-out style might be my favorite variety yet.

    Boots, Urban Outfitters $195

  • Black and White 2 of 9

Black and white will always be a classic, but have you noticed the surge in black and white patterns and pairings this year?! Gotta love it, in fact... we adore it!

    Dress, H&M $39.95

  • Sequins 3 of 9

An all-over sequin dress may not be your daily go-to, but sequins started showing up all over the place in small ways this year (i.e. on elbow patches, collars, and necklines). I like to think Taylor Swift has something to do with the surge in glittery clothing.

    Dress, Urban Outfitters $85

  • Floppy Hats 4 of 9

I was never much of a hat girl, but gorgeous felt hats like this one started popping up everywhere and I fell in love. I hope this trend stays for 2014 and beyond.

    Hat, Moorea Seal $34

  • Mod dresses 5 of 9

Mod dresses were back in a big way this year! I love the simplicity of these '60s-with-a-spin dresses and I hope they are here to stay.

    Dress, ASOS $213.25

  • Glitzy Shoes 6 of 9

Metallics and glitter are crazy popular right now, but especially on our feet! It's the perfect way to add some glamor to your outfit without going too gold crazy.

    Gold Oxfords, GAP $69.95

  • Rings 7 of 9

Hands got all the attention this year when it came to jewelry—tiny thin bands, midi knuckle rings, double-finger rings and so many more. I am still not too big on jewelry, but I am loving the decked out hands!

    Rings, Moorea Seal $6

  • D’Orsay Flats 8 of 9

D'Orsay flats (and heels) are one of my very favorite trends right now. They show off a little more foot (ohh la la!) and make you feel like a dainty ballerina.

    D'Orsay Flats, Urban Outfitters $39

  • Clutches 9 of 9

Huge handbags have their time and place, but clutches are taking over! The most stylish way to carry around just a few essentials.

    Leather Clutch, Moorea Seal $145
