So Amazon is continuing to dive into the world of original content with a second offering of original programming for kids, and this one is from the lovely Angela Santomero, best known for Blue’s Clues and Super Why! (yes, I’ve met her, and yes, she really is completely sweet and lovely). This new show is called Creative Galaxy and features a charming little green alien named Arty who scours the galaxy for items to use in creative art projects.
I watched the first episode (currently available to watch free) and found it to be quite sweet and charming, and even though it’s clearly geared toward younger kids my eight year old daughter and her seven year old friend couldn’t stop watching it over my shoulder today (and now I have to go buy pom poms to make art projects with them), so it’s clearly got the goods. And personally, I love that Arty’s buddy is named Epiphany and makes Arty’s ideas come true.
In a press release, Angela Santomero stated “The premiere of Creative Galaxy could not have come soon enough. I’m ecstatic that Prime members now have the opportunity to explore the world of art and creativity with Arty and Epiphany. Working with Amazon has been an inspiring experience since we both believe children’s programming should support key educational goals by teaching the importance of learning through play.”
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can access the series right away. So I guess now kids can binge watch TV too!
