20 Cool New Baby and Toddler Products Hitting Stores in 2014

With a preschooler, a toddler, and a new baby on the way, I am completely immersed in baby and toddler gear all of the time. I absolutely love learning about new baby and toddler products and can’t believe how much they have evolved ever since I had my oldest daughter, Harlan, four years ago. I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest in gear that will help make mine or my little one’s life easier, more comfortable, or more convenient.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas to attend the ABC Kids Show, the largest trade show for the juvenile products industry. The show gave me a firsthand look at some of the brand new baby and toddler products that will hit stores in 2014.

I was personally on the lookout for products for my new little guy on the way as well as things that Avery and Harlan can still use. I was amazed by many of the products that were featured at the show and had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites. While there are many innovative baby and toddler products that will be in stores in the new year, here are 20 that you will definitely want to keep an eye out for!

  • Oeuf Table and Chairs 1 of 20

Whether it's used for art, eating, or a tea party, this table and chairs set from Oeuf will have your little ones' creativity booming. The chairs, made of either birch or walnut, come in two different animal shapes (a bunny and bear) as well as general toddler chairs. One thing that made me fall in love with this set was the fabric stickers that let your child customize their set. The stickers can easily be removed and stuck again any way they like. The table will be sold separately and the chairs will be sold in a set of two.

  • Nuna Ivvi Stroller 2 of 20

If you are looking for a travel system that will grow with your child, then the Nuna ivvi is a great option. The stroller, which fits a newborn to a child up to 50 pounds, can be changed from forward- to rear-facing and even has a bassinet to attach for your infant. One of my favorite parts is the enormous storage underneath the stroller that even has a divider that allows you to separate your things from baby's things.

  • Nuna Mixx Stroller 3 of 20

The Nuna Mixx is another new travel system stroller that you will be able to use from birth to 50 pounds. The seat can be put both forward- and rear-facing depending on your baby's mood. I love that all of the liners on the seat of this stroller are easily removable to reveal a mesh liner that can be used during those warmer months. The seat fully reclines so that baby can sleep comfortably while on the go, too. It also folds flat for easy and convenient storage.

  • Always in View Baby Monitor 4 of 20

For any parent that drives with your little one in the car, you know how important it is to be able to see them while you are driving. This new baby car monitor from Infanttech Solutions is an innovative way to help you keep an eye on your little one while in the car. Rather than having to turn around to check on baby or try to get the perfect angle with the car mirrors, this wireless system makes it easy for parents to have their baby in view at all times. Simply attach the stuffed animal, which has a camera in it, to the backseat of the car and then attach the monitor to your windshield. It works both during the day and at night and has to be manually turned off after each use as an added safety feature to help parents remember that baby is in the car.

  • Born Free Grow with Me Stackable Cups 8 of 20

If your cabinets look anything like mine, you have a ton of sippy cups scattered everywhere and try to strategically stack them so that you have more room for other things in the cabinet. Once you open the door of the cabinet, though, everything comes crashing down in your face, right? Born Free has re-invented the sippy cup with their new Grow with Me Stackable Cups. These cups are guaranteed spill-proof and leak-proof. The interchangeable lids (which come in a variety of mouth pieces) can be removed and cups can be stacked for easy storage. They have added an "easy sip" rim that has threads on the inside to provide a smooth surface for drinking when cups are used without lids for older children. It's a genius idea that really lets these cups grow with your little one.

The Patch is perfect for small baby accessories and can easily go right above the sink on a window sill for easy drying.

The fabric on both the toddler seat and the infant car seat is more breathable while still being green and earth-friendly, something that Orbit Baby prides itself on. • Ergobaby Wrap 13 of 20

I always loved carrying Avery in a wrap when she was an infant. It made that skin to skin contact feel so nice, and I was still able to do things around the house. Ergobaby will release their new Wrap which features a 4D stretch material that allows the wrap to fit comfortably for both mom and baby without becoming loose once mom ties it on her. I had a chance to feel the material of the wrap and loved how soft it was.

4moms is changing the way that we look at infant car seats. Their new car seat automatically checks to make sure that it is installed correctly every single time you put the baby in. This is a game changer. Our child's safety is of upmost importance to us, as parents, and 4moms has helped ease some stress by taking some of the work away. • Summer Infant Baby Zoom Wifi Baby Monitor 20 of 20

I've been using the same video baby monitor from Summer Infant since my oldest daughter, Harlan, was born four years ago and it's still going strong. While Summer Infant has made many updates to their video baby monitors from years past, I am most excited about their newest monitors. The Baby Zoom baby monitor is a multi-platform system that allows for monitoring baby in your home and away from home. The monitor system has built in wifi allowing you to view your baby on smartphones, tablets  and computers via a free app. It also includes a handheld monitor for use in your home. The camera allows you to pan, zoom, and scan the room and allows for up to four cameras to be added for your convenience. I also love that it allows for two-way communication so that you can speak to baby from your smart device or monitor and baby can speak back.
