Best Idea Ever For Moms: Rent The Runway

Best Idea Ever For Moms: Rent The RunwayAs a mom, I don’t often get an opportunity to get dressed up, so when I do it’s pretty exciting. The only problem is: “What to wear?” This is where Rent The Runway comes into play.

Rent The Runway is the best idea ever for moms who find themselves with a reason to get dressed up. All you have to do is head to their website, choose a dress from their massive collection of designer frocks, reserve the dress for your event,  wear the dress when it arrives and then send it back after your event in the pre-paid mailer. So easy!

With a post-baby body, getting dressed up can get a little tricky. Most of the fancy duds from my childless days no longer fit, but I don’t really want to spend a ton of money on a dress that might not fit for long since I’m still working on losing weight. Besides that, I’m a work-at-home mom and let’s face it, a glittery cocktail dress isn’t exactly a wardrobe staple that is practical for my lifestyle, so basically any dress I would buy would get worn only once (maybe twice).

Rent The Runway is a great solution to all of these issues, because it allows you to wear high end, designer dresses for a fraction of the price since you’re only renting them. It’s seriously the best.

I just attended the Radio Disney Music Awards over the weekend and rented this fun, little Nanette Lepore number and I was thrilled with the experience. The dresses (along with my free back-up size) arrived at my house two days before the event, which gave me time to find all my accessories, and after the event I just returned the dresses in the pre-paid mailer. I got a ton of compliments on my dress and I felt so glam.

This idea is so great for all women, but especially for moms – so go get dolled up! I will definitely be using Rent The Runway for future special events – it would even be fun to rent something special just because for a fancy date night out with the husband. If you’ve never checked it out you definitely should – and don’t forget to type in the code for $25 off your first rental (FIRSTRTR25X754).

{Disclosure: I was given a dress to borrow from Rent The Runway. All thoughts and opinions are my own.}
