The Search for Hair Accessories that Stay Put

After two boys, I looked forward to many things about having a daughter.

The sweet smocked dresses and floppy summer sun hats.

The pink footy pajamas and red Mary Janes.

The headbands and hair bows to match every outfit.

What I didn’t imagine, though, was daily battle to keep them in her hair.

My daughter has always enjoyed wearing barrettes and bows but it was a challenge to find ones that stayed put in her baby-fine hair. With some trial and error we’ve found some styles that work better for her hair type and the rough-and-tumble life of an active gal with two older brothers.

Here are ten of my favorite hair accessories…I hope you’ll like them too!
