Where In The World Is Beth Anne?Beth Anne Ballance
I haven’t posted in almost a week, which means that 90% of you probably haven’t noticed, 5% were thrilled & the other 5% might have actually missed my ramblings. Huzzah!
We’ve been really, really busy over here and completely caught up in the day-to-day that is life. It seems like I barely hit snooze once before it’s lunch time and then I turn around and I’m tucking Harrison into bed. The past few days have flown by a rapid pace and at this point, I live for quiet nights in bed with a book, promising that I’ll write tomorrow.
For starters, my new job is going really well. I have learned so much in just a short time, my carpel tunnel is flaring in the best way possible because it means I’m working hard, and I’m loving the M&Ms in the breakroom. I try to get out for a walk every day at lunch and it turns out that excercise meaning better sleep and better mood has merit to the argument. Go figure!
Harrison is loving daycare and really thriving with his new friends and teachers. He’s signing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and coming out of his shyness very quickly. Turns out he’s quite the artist and I’ve turned into a proud momma with his paintings on display at the office. (just one more thing I swore I would never do until I was a mom!)
Our house sold but it’s contingent and we are on pins and needles to hear of when we’ll close. In the meantime, we spoke to a lender to see what we could do as far as buying another house but I think we’ve decided to go for an apartment – take our time, see what we really want in a forever house. It will mean two moves but we found a great apartment complex that has a good playground and is very quiet with large rooms. I think it will be okay.
Doug and I went on a “date day” this past Saturday to look at said apartments, but we also grabbed lunch and then had a beer at our favorite microbrewery here in town. Thank you Grandma for taking our little boy to the park all day so we could spend time together!
Other than that, it’s little things making our life hectic and magical and purposeful.
How has your week been? Anything really cool?
