25 Jaw Dropping Rooms & Suites That Are Wacky & Oh So Unique

I’m having a hard time coming up with suitable words to describe these jaw dropping rooms. “You’ve got to be kidding!” is the one sentence that comes to mind every time I look at these photos.

Have you ever heard of the famous Madonna Inn? Open since 1958 and located in San Luis Obispo, California, this establishment could very well be one of the most unique, wacky and unusual hotels in America. Instead of the typical green and white tennis courts, Madonna Inn has dressed theirs up in hot pink and baby blue. The pool looks as though it has come straight out of the ’50’s, the restaurant Gold Rush Steak House on property has received numerous awards for their excellence in service and their unique ambiance (pink, gold, floral and circle booth seating).

There are 110 rooms and suites on property that are individually themed with some of the most unusual decor you’ll see to date. The names are just as quirky as the decor, Harvard Square, Old Mexico, Swiss Bell and Tack Room, to name a few. Rock is a major part of the overall decor with rock rooms and rock fireplaces. Waterfall showers are a signature feature at the Madonna Inn and a favorite among guests.
