Thanks Disney for providing me this trip for free.
When my family was offered the opportunity to attend a special event at Walt Disney World, I was so excited to take the trip of a lifetime, but can we also be honest for just a sec?
Taking four kids, ranging in age from 6 years to 6 months old, across the country, in the middle of winter, to a very busy amusement park … is no joke.
I was scared, nervous, apprehensive, and wishing more than anything that I could be the type of adventurous mom who knew that we would have a fabulous, fun-filled time no matter what. But alas, I am the type of mom who still has 20 pounds of baby weight to lose, shopped for warm-weather clothes in literally 20 minutes by running through the store hoping and praying what I grabbed would fit, and who packed and re-packed and packed again — yet still somehow ran out of diapers.
But despite my imperfect body that may or may not still look about five months pregnant, inevitable toddler tantrums, and more than a few lingering unidentified bacterium from the airport crawling over my house, this family of six conquered Disney World. And you know what? We really did have a fabulous time. So if you’re looking to go to Disney this year, I want to let you in on all my secrets for making it the trip of a lifetime …
