Stale bread can be crumbled up and added to your birdfeeders or backyard, especially in the winter time when birds have to battle the snow to keep fed. You can also bag up stale bread and head to the local park with the kids to feed the ducks.

When you make greasy dinners like French fries or burgers, use a stale piece of bread rather than paper towels to soak up the excess grease from your food.

If you enjoy corn on the cob, you can use the end pieces of the bread loaf or stale pieces to more effectively butter your corn. Coat the bread with a sufficient amount of butter then wrap the buttered bread around the cob. It coats the corn and helps prevent burns to your fingers from the hot corn.
